My work focuses on how the brain and nervous system behave across different conditions.

Using real-time physiological data, I study how the system organizes, destabilizes, and returns to coherence. This includes how it responds to stress, internal states, and altered states of consciousness.

Rather than focusing on fixed states, I look at transitions:
how the system shifts, how it holds, and where it breaks.

At the core of this work is a simple principle:
Science maps the pattern. Awareness completes the change.

At Noesis Delta, this work is structured around three core pillars:

MEASURE

I use multimodal physiological data to observe the system in real time:

EEG (brain activity), HRV (heart rate variability), and EDA/GSR (electrodermal activity).

These signals provide a direct view into how the brain and autonomic nervous system are functioning moment to moment.

OBSERVE

Different conditions reveal different architectures.

Cognitive stress, emotional activation, meditation, breathwork, and psychedelic-related states do not produce the same patterns.

Some systems remain stable under pressure but destabilize in internal states. Others show the opposite.

The same visible state can emerge from very different underlying dynamics.

UNDERSTANDING COHERENCE

Coherence is not a goal. It is a property of the system.

It appears when regulation stabilizes. It breaks when the system is overloaded or misaligned.

By observing how coherence emerges, collapses, and reorganizes, it becomes possible to map individual regulatory patterns and understand how stability is actually built over time.

Lila Devane

Independent Researcher in Brain & Nervous System Dynamics | Altered States of Consciousness

My work explores how consciousness and awareness shape the nervous system, and how internal change can be observed through measurable shifts in brain and body activity.

I use EEG and biofeedback to make physiological patterns visible under stress, rest, and focused attention. These tools make internal patterns visible in real time. They function as mirrors, making internal dynamics visible so perception and self-regulation can realign.

Rather than focusing on behavior change or symptom reduction, I study how sustained awareness and altered states influence neural coherence, emotional regulation, and recovery capacity. Over time, as perception stabilizes, reliance on external feedback decreases, and regulation becomes internalized.

My approach integrates neuroscience, somatic awareness, and brainwave research to examine how clarity and stability emerge when the nervous system reorganizes around coherence rather than control. This work forms the basis of the "Brainwaves Method" and NDSN (Neuro-Data Somatic Narrative), structured approaches to studying nervous system calibration through conscious state training.

Transformation, in this context, is not a mental construct. It is a physiological learning process. My role is to design and deliver the conditions under which this process can be learned and repeated.
